is celebrating the 250th birthday of Scotland's national bard,

Robert Burns

, with three days of events throughout the Lehigh Valley.

Today, a Celtic art exhibit was presented by Bethlehem's Donegal Square at Hotel Bethlehem on Main Street. Also at the hotel, theatrical performances of Burns' poetry ran from noon to 5 p.m.

McCarthy's Restaurant and Tea Room in Bethlehem is also slated to host a scotch tasting and Burns lecture this evening.

Traditional "Burns Night" festivities -- a special toast, celebrity bartenders, etc. -- are planned Sunday at Braveheart Highland Pub, 430 Main St. in Hellertown.
